DISCUSSION
F.
Understanding Circumcision
According to
the understanding of
language, circumcision meant cut. While the
term within the meaning of Islamic law, circumcision is in a particular
cut of certain
parts of the body.
Circumcision or circumcision is already very
familiar and we
usually hear. In some places, the circumcision ceremony the children even made
a celebration event, invitations, and lively
entertainment. Circumcision, is a form of mashdar
(basic words) of
khatana, which means to cut. Al-Khitaan,
Al-Ikhtitaan, is
isim (noun) from
ficil (verb) al-khaatin, or designation
places circumcised, skin that is left after the cut. (Al-Isawi, 2008). According
to the terms on male circumcision is
cutting the skin that
covers the tip of the male
genitalia called Qulfah,
so as not to accumulate dirt in it, and also in order to complete
the urine, and does not diminish the
joy jima 'husband and
wife.
Specifically, some scholars circumcision divide into
2 types, namely i'dzaar and khafdh.
And Imam Nawawi
said that it
i'dzaar circumcision in men, whereas only
khafdh specifically on female circumcision.
Similarly, Al-Jauhari
said, that the word
khafdh is devoted to female circumcision.
G.
Understanding Circumcision According to Ulema
Circumcision according to al-Mawardi
was cutting the
skin covering the tops dzakar
men or also called hasyafah. Ideally the
cut is to start from
the base of the shoots dzakar and there
are still at
least a little residual cover.
According to
Imam Haramain true circumcision for
men is to cut the foreskin is the
skin that covers the tops dzakar so there is no
residual skin left
at all.
According to Ibn Shabagh circumcision meant cut
the top of the skin or the most important part
dzakar dzakar shoots
can open.
H.
Liability Circumcision
Sourced from Abu Hurairah RA
true prophet Muhammad
SAW said "Abraham the beloved of God merciful
and compassionate circumcised after the age of eighty
years. He was circumcised in qudum "(Narrated by Al-Bukhari
and Muslim).
The scholars differed in establishing
liability circumcision. However, the difference is only in women. While
the male scholars
such as al-Shafi `i,
Imam Malik, Abu
Hanifah and other
scholars oblige men
to circumcision.
I.
Circumcision Law
·
The Messenger of Allah said about the nature of the problem is
in the form of circumcision:
الْفِطْرَةُ
خَمْسٌ أَوْ خَمْسٌ مِنْ الْفِطْرَةِ الْخِتَانُ وَالِاسْتِحْدَادُ وَنَتْفُ
الْإِبْطِ وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ وَقَصُّ الشَّارِب
Meaning: that nature are five:
circumcision, shaving the hair kemalun, plucking the armpit hairs, cutting the nails, and
trim the mustache. (Narrated by Bukhary and Muslim).
· As a nature, circumcision is also performed
by the former.
From Abu Hurairah,
the Prophet. said, "Abraham circumcised after reaching
the age of eighty years, and he circumcised
the ax. while
the Prophet was ordered by Allah to follow the religion of Abraham, as contained in the word which means," Then We revealed to you (Muhammad): 'Follow the religion of Abraham the hanif. '"(Surat an-Nahl: 123).
· According to some scholars, the law
of circumcision is obligatory for men. Meanwhile,
according to a well-known history of imam Malik, he said his legal sunna circumcision.
· ibn Qudamah in his book Mughni, said that
circumcision is obligatory for men and women glory. Although
there are differences of opinion, because the legal minimum
is sunnah, circumcision is a doctrine that Muslims should
not be abandoned.
· Prophet. ordered people to Islam according to
his saying circumcision أَلْقِ عَنْكَ
شَعْرَ الْكُفْرِ وَاخْتَتِنْ
Meaning: "Remove
hair from you infidelity
(which became infidels
address) and berkhitanlah."
(Narrated by Abu Dawood,
and dihasankan by
Sheikh Al-Albany).
